Review: Christopher Nolan second bundle of joy The Dark Knight surpassed all my expectations! With the success of the 2005 reboot of the Batman franchise, took what was already established and expanded, amped up, and gave a history deeper, darker and melancholy that is more gripping and tension is likely to have on duty several times through. Christian Bale gåri depth of Batman, sworn to fight evil and injustice, but also quite reluctant and unsure about his crusade to never end and clean the inner turmoil in his soul broken due to the death of her beloved parents. But with the help of his trusted butler reasons / ally Alfred (played superbly by Michael Reed) him, give him moral support, and keep it under control. But the real star of the show is Heath Ledger as Batman's deadliest foe, The Joker. I can honestly say that, as well as Jack Nicholson was in Batman89 is a breeze compared to the Joker. It's sadistic, delusional, and downright scary and psychologically disturbing than the previous incarnation of the Clown Prince of Crime and Ledger gives everything to do justice. Along with the original cast comes some new faces, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and more. I must say I liked Katie Holmes, Gyllenhaal gives much better performance and is far from the stereotypical damsel in distress (although theres a bit of it, thankfully) which is common in movies. Bale and Gyllenhaal has much better chemistry this time more than Holmes. Even better, the fight scenes improved tremendously and has the most brutal combat and bone crushing begins, along with the new technologies available for Batman. Also worth mentioning is the screenwriter Jonathan Nolan, who gives the film an added frosting to an already delicious cake. In short, The Dark Knight totally more bad ass than Begins. The action is great, and the plot is deeper and absorbing. I applaud Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger Special (who died earlier this year) and all the board to believe Mr. Nolan talent for this second edition. Although some may feel a little melancholy over Ledger's death, but as a final note, I will say this with sincere heart: Remember Heath Ledger and honor in their minds and hearts, not only for their performances, but as a man and father of her daughter Matilda Ledger. We grant wishes to your family and friends and her daughter in the coming years. Swing. . . Honoring him not only for this role and previous roles, but as a wonderful person and talented actress. Rest in peace. Heath Ledger: 4/4/1979-1/22/2008. |
