Review: Like most guys I've never seen this movie on my own or with male friends. But my girlfriend was in town, and found a romantic comedy would make a perfect movie for us to watch together.I had heard reference to 9/11 made it to the top movie and was horrified to have to sit through that part. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that the reference was not particularly shameful pequeñay very well so I'm not sure why some people bother so much.As film relates in general quite enjoyed it and will definitely recommend it as a great date movie. Many of the comments here have despised the movie because they thought it was too slippery on love and very unrealistic. But I think you have to accept that the film was made for making people laugh and bring the spirit of love in the Christmas holiday period. If you look at the film in the context as it does its work well.However effort for me the best moment of the film was the press conference (standing next to each other) in the U.S. . The President and the Prime Minister. In fact, I felt like standing up and cheering when Hugh Grant (as prime minister) finally tells the U.S. president on the face and in front of the world press that Britain no longer bow to American wishes, but will have an independent self-evaluation. Considering U.S. is the largest market for films was very brave of Richard Curtis to write this scene, and that much deserves credit for portraying the President as quite negligible and put into context what `Special Relationship really all about. As Richard Curtis should have known that the film had done well, but not good in the states. However, it has been clarified in the UK, and I'm sure will do very well in the world too.So Bravo Richard Curtis to defend their clients, you are a hero! |
